Commemorate our 10th Year Season With Us!
Continuing their celebration of this tenth anniversary season,
Pintello Comedy Theater pulls out all the stops with a musical comedy beauty contest entitled "Pageant - The Musical Comedy Beauty Contest." Written by Bill Russell and Frank Kelly, "Pageant" presents six lovely contestants competing for the Miss Glamouresse title. Audiences will delight in getting to know each talented gal, from Miss Deep South to Miss Industrial Northeast. And thanks to the audience judges, the winner each evening is a surprise to everyone!
"Pageant" will open April 20th at the popular comedy theater in the Gilroy Grange Hall. Whitney Pintello is directing and choreographing, and has been busy bringing glamour and bling to the stage where her girls are performing. Under the musical direction of Michael Perry, the gals are blossoming as songbirds. As the enthusiastic emcee, Peter Mandel introduces and sings the praises of his six hopeful Glamouresse Girls, played with high energy by Lawrence-Michael C. Arias, Chris Bezanson, John Brewer, Matt Haluza, CJ Patereau and Jeff Patereau. As always, The Pintello family will be on hand to welcome patrons at their friendly table-seating theater in the Gilroy Grange Hall at 8191 Swanston Drive in Gilroy.
"The enthusiasm of the cast is contagious and audiences are drawn into the crazy dreams of these characters." says director Whitney Pintello. "Our cast is having a great time at rehearsals, they'll be irresistible during performances."
Produced by Rod and Marion Pintello, the comedy play is being presented in the Gilroy Grange Hall at 8191 Swanston Lane in Gilroy. The popular comedy troupe, now in their tenth year in Gilroy, continues to present full-length comedy plays featuring local actors, comfortable table seating, wine, coffee and cookies, and their trademark friendly welcome. Now pouring wine from local vintners, Pintello Comedy Theater continues to deserve their designation as the south valley's Best Theater.
Bringing four new comedies to the stage each year at the Grange Hall is a labor of love, says the Pintello family, adding that they're very happy with the central location off Leavesley Road between Monterey and Forest. "We're very pleased with the enthusiasm of our audiences. Our patrons have become friends," adds producer Marion Pintello. Rod and Marion are very pleased to welcome everyone to the fun and friendly atmosphere of their theater at the Grange Hall in Gilroy. They're sure you'll agree with their motto, "There's Something Funny Going on Here!"
Opening night at the cabaret-style theater will be Friday, April 20th, with performances continuing Friday and Saturday nights through May 12th, plus one Sunday matinee on April 29th.
